Just in time for the holidays!  Here is the official video for Joey’s original Christmas song, written & recorded with Tim Schools, called “King of Kings”.  We hope you all have a wonderful, and safe holiday this season!

Sure, this isn’t a “Badfinger video per se”…but it does show THE MAN who wrote the song that launched the career of Badfinger. in 1969, they actually recorded “Come & Get It” under the production guidance of Sir Paul McCartney while still being called “The Iveys” (Pete Ham, Tommy Evans, Mike Gibbins and original bassist/vocalist Ron Griffiths).

Joey Molland joined the band a couple of months after the Magic Christian Music soundtrack was recorded with “Come & Get It” being the lead single. Then, the Apple Records execs annointed them as “BADFINGER”. The rest, as they say…is history! Joey keeps the legacy of the band’s first breakthrough hit alive during concert appearances all over the world.

Thanks to “Lonnieman” and Brenda Spencer for posting videos of Joey sitting in with CHEAP TRICK at RockStock in St. Paul, MN on Sun May 29th.  Joey sat in with Cheap Trick for their version of “Magical Mystery Tour” for a slice of rare, power pop heaven tonight!  Enjoy.
