August 1st – The 40th Anniversary of The Concert For Bangladesh

(August 1, 2011) Here is an official statement from Joey Molland, who performed on stage at The Concert(s) For Bangladesh at Madison Square Garden 40 years ago with his bandmates from BADFINGER, as well as musical legends Bob Dylan, Ringo Starr, Eric Clapton, Billy Preston and many more:

“Today I am proud to honor the legacy of George Harrison and the very first major music concert for a cause “The Concert for Bangladesh”. George Harrison launched this legendary event because his friend Ravi Shankar asked him to help the people of Bangladesh. Now I’m asking you to please help.
